Abstract: | The purpose of the Body Scan practice is to:
Bring awareness to the direct experience of physical sensation in the body with an open, compassionate, kindly curiosity. Intentionally, consciously and purposefully move attention in to and out from different regions of the body as well as the body as a whole. Notice and respond to the mind wandering, returning our attention repeatedly to the focus of the body. Foster acceptance of our experience 'just as it is' without trying to change it. |
